No. You don't have to know animation. In fact this is like when you make animations on the corner of a book known as flip animation. We are not trying to apply to Disney Pixar here. You will start doing an intuitive animation. You will get better with practice. The course is about learning how to think, project and create this new animated map format.

You don’t need to learn how to use any software. You only need to learn a feature. This feature, is present in all the software available to do animations: “onion skin” the capacity to see the previous frame to have a reference to draw the next one. That’s it.
We are not making cartoon animations. We are learning to create maps in which we will apply little animations in key focus points. 

These kind of maps takes planning, preparation and time.  I don’t sell this map format as a main service. This is a plus I usually offer it to my clients after the classic map I did on an event. They are an animated recap of the recap you already did live.  So you create your classic static graphic recording map (analogic or digital) and then you can offer these animated maps, as a post service.

You only map 4, 5 or 6 concepts of a big topic you really want people to read and you highlight them adding some simple animations. This is like a “30 second elevator speech” brief. it should be short enough to be presented during a brief elevator ride. In this case it is a quick synopsis of a story with the key facts you want people to watch.
