INKTOBER DAY 28 — TROPHY
Exaggeration is one of the simplest ways to disrupt expectations.
Make something bigger, smaller, taller, shorter…
And suddenly, its meaning can change.
In this image, we see a classic awards podium.

First place. Second place. Third place.
Everything seems normal.
Until we look at the third-place winner.
This person is so tall that we can't even see their face!
The first and second-place winners look up in surprise.
And suddenly, something strange happens.
The person who came third seems much more impressive than the people who came first and second.
The winner's victory feels smaller.
The third-place trophy almost seems more important than the others.
So, who's really the biggest winner here?
That's the interesting thing about exaggeration.
It doesn't just change the size of something.
It can change how we value it.
Make something smaller, and you can make it seem less important.
Make it bigger, and you can give it more power.
Today's tip:
Don't use exaggeration just to make something look extreme.
Use it to change how people perceive its importance.
Sometimes, making something bigger or smaller is enough to turn an entire hierarchy upside down.
