INKTOBER DAY 29: TUSK
Last time, we used exaggeration to change how important something looks.
Today, let's try something else.
Comparison.
Sometimes, you don't need to change the size of something.
You just need to put it next to something bigger.

In this image, we have Dracula, looking at an elephant on one side and a wild boar on the other.
Both animals have enormous tusks.
And suddenly, Dracula's famous fangs look… pretty unimpressive.
If we saw him alone, his teeth might look scary.
But next to these two animals?
Almost ridiculous.
Nothing about Dracula has changed.
Only the context.
And that's the power of comparison.
Something can look big or small, powerful or weak, impressive or insignificant, depending on what we put next to it.
Today's tip:
Want to make something look more or less important?
Don't change the thing itself.
Change what you compare it with.
Sometimes, the best way to change how we see something is to put it next to something else.
