Stop Trying to Make Sense. Start Playing.

INKTOBER DAY 31: FLEX

What if you could bend reality?

Not just your arms and legs.

Reality itself.

Exaggerate things until they break the rules of gravity, physics, and common sense.

Make the impossible possible.

In this image, we have a woman meditating.

She looks calm and peaceful.

But look at how she can flex her body!

Her arms and legs twist, stretch, and wrap around her head in ways that should be completely
impossible.

And that's the point.

Maybe this is the one tip that sums up everything we've explored during Inktober:

PLAY. HAVE FUN. EMBRACE THE ABSURD.

When you were a child, did you stop your imagination because something seemed impossible?

Did you tell yourself, "Nope. I can't imagine that"?

Probably not.

You just went with it.

So why stop now?

With visual metaphors, you can exaggerate, reverse, twist, stretch, shrink, break, and rebuild anything.

You can turn things upside down. Give them new functions. Mix things that don't belong together.

Every transformation can open the door to a new story.

And when that story disrupts expectations, people stop and look.

So don't worry about making sense of everything.

Don't be afraid of the absurd.

Just play.

And see where your imagination takes you.
